Broadway Babies Ages 4 - 6

This fun and interactive musical class will introduce your pre-k and kindergarteners to the world of Broadway musicals! Each class will focus on a different popular fairy tale or Disney story and their musical theatre counterparts while learning about theatre basics, how to be a good audience member, prop making and of course musical performances. Your preschooler will also experience cooperation and imagination through singing and playing together! Enroll your child in Broadway Babies to explore the world of musical theatre today!

Acting Foundations Ages 6 -11

This class is for anyone who is interested in acting but don’t know where to begin. Students will spend the year working on getting to know themselves as a performer though games, exercises, and exploring scripts to find what type of actor they like being and where their strengths lie. We will challenge beginners to use their physical and vocal instruments in tandem with their imaginations to story tell. Students will explore active listening and response, character, objectives, tactics, and more foundational skill sets. The class culminates with a final showcase performance of the scenes they will be workshopping during the semester.

Monologues! Ages 8 - 17

Students will be introduced to monologues and learn what they are used for, where they come from, what types of monologues are needed for auditions, and how to prepare and perform monologues. Students will learn some terminology and acting concepts that actors use to breakdown monologues as they work on them. Students will explore goals, actions/tactics, the moment before, personalization, and more! During class, students will receive assistance in choosing both comic and dramatic monologues that fit their age-range and type! Each student will receive individual coaching to help prepare these monologues for use in upcoming auditions. Students will also learn some general tips on performing comedy and performing drama. For the last class, students will be allowed to invite family and friends to attend the online class and watch as they perform their monologues in a final class Monologue Showcase!

Beginning Improvisation Ages 10 -17

New to improv? This class is for you. Beginners Improv introduces you to improv by covering a wide variety of concepts such as:
The rules of Improv and breaking the rules Group mind (the myth, the facts) How to say "yes, and" and when to say “no” Finding or creating the game Long-form Short-form Writing via improv Direction (taking and giving) Object and environment work |
Adult Improvisation Ages 18+

Looking for a fun and creative way to expand your body and mind? Get out of the house for an hour a week and come have a blast by joining in on this short-form based beginners improvisation class in a friendly and laid back environment with like-minded others! This 8-week course will take you through the basics of improvisation and allow you to feel young again, coming up with fun, on-the-spot scenarios, and working on public speaking and teamwork skills. Why? Becuase you deserve to have some time in the limelight too!
